Overwatch is available for free this weekend

If you already wanted to try Overwatch because it looked like fun, but you did not feel like buying it then we have great news for you! Blizzard has announced that it will launch a free weekend where everyone can play Overwatch without having to pay a penny.

The free weekend starts Thursday (August 23 rd) and ends on Monday (August 27 th). All progress that players complete during the free week-end will remain available if they decide to purchase the game afterwards.

Overwatch Weekend free
Blizzard is not only starting a free Overwatch weekend, but also making the game available for all platforms (PC, Xbox One and PS4). We should mention that this is not the first time Blizzard has launched an event like this for an Overwatch, since the same thing happened last year. It seems, giving players free access to Overwatch has helped Blizzard the seller the game and that is why the lawsuit is repeating itself this year.

Battle Net Account
The only thing that PC gamers will need to do to download for free is to create an account on Battle.net. This is Blizzard’s own platform and works similar to Steam. In addition, fans of PS4 and Xbox One can download the game directly from the “Store”.

Demolition ball
Another important thing we need to go over is the fact that recently received its 28th hero, Wrecking Ball. This hero is a mech that is piloted by an anthropomorphic hamster coming from the moon, even in Winston. This is a tank hero and is super fun to play. Therefore we advise Overwatch fans who will download the game over the weekend to try Wrecking Ball.
